Senior Property Accountant5month temporary contract | Hybrid WFH + CBD location | $575 per day + superAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Property Accountant to join a highperforming finance team on a 5month temporary assignment. Working within a large and complex property environment, this role will suit a proactive finance professional with strong business partnering capability, excellent analytical skills, and deep experience across property accounting.This position offers hybrid working, a competitive daily rate of $575 + super, and the chance to add immediate value within a dynamic team.Your Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness PartneringCollaborate closely with Asset Management Operations teams to enhance enduser experience and drive adherence to finance processes.Provide monthly guidance and support to operational teams.Partner with the Commercial Finance Management team on monthly forecasting and business planning, ensuring valueadd and efficiency.People & CollaborationContribute to a highperforming finance function supporting a diverse asset portfolio.Work collaboratively across internal investment and portfolio teams, sharing learnings and leveraging best practice.Actively participate in team meetings.Mentor junior accountants and new starters, ensuring capability development and smooth onboarding.Business Unit PerformanceDeliver accurate and timely financial information to support operational performance and business outcomes.Own the monthend process for NOI and balance sheet across your allocated portfolio, liaising with onshore and offshore stakeholders to ensure accuracy.Monitor transactional deliverables and financial performance for assigned assets.Produce management reporting aligned to finance schedules, ensuring stakeholders understand processes and deadlines.Organise and facilitate monthly reviews of the 5year forecast.Provide insightful variance analysis and adhoc reporting as required.Support preparation of reporting to joint owners in line with relevant agreements.Assist finance managers with actuals, budgeting, forecasting and fee income analysis.Support asset transitions from development into operations, ensuring reporting is correctly established.Provide financial information for duediligence processes related to asset disposals.Reporting & AnalysisReview monthly P&L and balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and meaningful variance commentary.Deliver management reporting for your portfolio in accordance with finance timelines.Produce customised reporting and adhoc analysis to support key stakeholders.Financial ControlEnsure financial controls are robust, reliable, and continuously improved.Identify opportunities to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accuracy across financial processes.Act as a key contact between offshore teams and the broader investment portfolio function to optimise performance outcomes.What You''ll BringCA / CPA / CFA qualification (or relevant tertiary education).Property industry experience strongly beneficial.Proven experience as a highly regarded business partner within a complex finance function.Demonstrated experience managing actuals, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting.High level IT proficiency, including advanced Excel; experience with Yardi, MRI, Cougar, and BI tools is highly advantageous.Strong commercial acumen and analytical skill set.Skills & AttributesExceptional stakeholder management and relationshipbuilding skills.Proactive, selfdriven approach with strong problemsolving capability.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Strong written and verbal communication.High attention to detail, strong organisation skills, and ability to manage competing deadlines.Resilience, adaptability to change, and comfort working in complex environments.Professional, empathetic, and customerfocused approach.If you think you could be suitable for this role, please send your up-to-date CV to or apply now.
