Overview Join to apply for the Head of Tax - ANZ role at Sharp & Carter About the role Our client is seeking a seasoned Head of Tax to leadtheir end-to-end tax strategy across Australia and New Zealand. This key leadership role is responsible for managing corporate tax compliance, reporting, and governance, while driving strategic initiatives to optimise our tax position and support business growth. Youll provide expert tax advice to senior leadership in this business critical role. Duties Oversee all corporate tax compliance obligations including income tax returns, BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, contractor withholding tax, and transfer pricing documentation Manage tax provisioning & deferred tax calculations Provide strategic tax advisory support on M&A, corporate restructuring, and international expansion Partner with senior leadership and the Board on tax strategy and planning opportunities Lead the development and implementation of a robust tax governance framework Manage tax audits and ATO reviews in coordination with advisors and tax authorities Ensure alignment with internal controls, policies, and evolving tax legislation Deliver in-house training on GST, FBT, withholding tax, and other key areas to non-tax stakeholders Mentor and manage the tax team to support their performance, development, and career growth Monitor changes in local and international tax law and assess business impact Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration About the company This real estate company is an industry leader with a broad international footprint.
