Department of Treasury & Finance SA Adelaide SA Head of Super IT Platforms 2 year contract Remuneration: MAS3 - Salary Range ($127,859 p.a.). Overview Reporting to the Director Operations, this role is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of Superannuation Registry Platforms and solutions across the organisation. The position plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and performance of enterprise systems while driving continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery. Responsibilities Planning system change implementations Managing risk in accordance with ISO 31000 principles Ensuring compliance with government regulations Influencing stakeholders at all levels, navigating organisational change, and delivering solutions that support business transformation Uplifting team capability and fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and customer service Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualifications in information technology, project management, business, or a related discipline Extensive experience in leading technology teams and managing vendors and stakeholders to achieve successful business outcomes Strong ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and prioritise competing demands to meet tight deadlines Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences on sensitive and complex issues Understanding of IT project management methodologies, organisational change management principles, and risk management frameworks such as ISO 31000 Proven leadership capability to inspire and motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery Commitment to excellence, inclusion, and customer service, with the ability to act independently and make fair, evidence-based decisions Knowledge of governance requirements and the ability to navigate political sensitivities within a government or regulated environment Experience Experienced in the development, implementation, and evaluation of best practice policies, procedures, strategies, and initiatives within a complex organisational environment Able to work independently, under limited direction, exercising sound judgment and accountability for decision-making Highly skilled in leadership and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and collaborate effectively across all levels A strong strategic thinker, with the ability to prioritise complex tasks, manage competing demands, and deliver outcomes within tight timeframes Demonstrated experience in leading teams, managing vendor performance, and delivering enterprise-wide technology solutions Knowledgeable in governance requirements, legislative compliance, and the political sensitivities impacting service delivery in a government or regulated environment Committed to continuous improvement, fostering innovation and uplifting team capability and maturity About the Department At the Department of Treasury and Finance we work together to ensure South Australia is a thriving, prosperous state now and into the future.
