Job Description

The Role The Medical Oncology Consultant delivers top-tier clinical care to patients in the Medical Oncology Department, excelling in both individual performance and leadership within a multidisciplinary care framework. They engage in teaching medical students, trainee medical officers, and relevant Nursing and Allied Health professionals. Additionally, they actively participate in clinical audit, quality and safety management, clinical risk assessment, research endeavors, and ongoing medical education initiatives. The Hospital The largest hospital in the southern region, serving residents of Adelaide''s southern metropolitan area, is co-located with the Flinders University School of Medicine and Flinders Private Hospital. Since its establishment in 1976, this hospital has garnered global recognition as one of Australia''s premier public teaching hospitals and a hub for cutting-edge research. With a dedicated team of over 5,000 skilled professionals, it offers a comprehensive array of medical services for patients spanning all age groups. Notably, it stands as one of the state''s two major trauma centers, equipped with a 24/7 emergency retrieval service ensuring rapid transportation of patients via road or helicopter. The Requirements Registered with AHPRA and have at least 12 months recent experience in Medical Oncology OnRACP training program within 6 months of completing fellowship Hold or be eligible for the FRACP IMG''s eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ IMG''swith RACP interview date IMG''s assessed by RACPand found to be substantially comparable.
