About the job The Program Director will lead and integrate activities across the five Growth Planning streams, the wider Growth team, and key SA Water business units to ensure aligned, consistent, and stakeholder-focused planning outcomes. Operating as a manager among equals, they will guide program delivery including project planning, procurement, scheduling, and risk mitigation while navigating complex cross-organisation relationships and escalating risks as needed to protect government commitments. The role requires deep expertise in program and change management to meet all cost, schedule, and scope objectives. About the Person You are a driven, strategic leader who is hungry for success yet brings balanced, thoughtful decisionmaking. You dont sit back you challenge, influence, and unite diverse stakeholders to shape aligned outcomes. Experience in advisory or consulting within the water sector, government, or earlystage planning environments will set you up for success. Youre comfortable operating in earlystage planning environments and have built a career on navigating ambiguity, aligning stakeholders, and turning complex problems into coordinated, practical solutions. Responsibilities In addition, your responsibilities will include: Build and lead an effective Integration and Master Planning function that works collaboratively toward achieving the project goals Accountable for effective program governance Lead Program delivery engagement with key personnel consultants and partners Lead development and delivery of planning integration across SA Water to ensure Growth objectives are met Your success in this role will come from Hold relevant project management, advisory or related tertiary qualifications and/or industry knowledge, and understanding of relevant technical, regulatory and policy requirements. An understanding of the South Australian water sector, design and delivery processes and strategic planning processes. Highly developed strategic and analytical skills and demonstrated capacity to successfully manage assessment and resolution of complex issues across multiple teams and stakeholders. Highly developed organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and multitask. Stakeholder management skills, including a demonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders, effect long lasting relationships, and drive mutually acceptable outcomes.
