Base pay range A$250,000.00/yr - A$290,000.00/yr Lead safe and secure operations at Fulham Correctional Centre. Drive rehabilitation and reintegration to reduce re-offending. Oversee leaders, compliance and stakeholders to meet outcomes. At Fulham Correctional Centre, located near Sale, Victoria, GEO manages one of the state''s largest correctional facilities, housing up to 1,000 male prisoners across low risk and minimum security. With a strong focus on safety, rehabilitation, and reintegration, Fulham delivers programs that address the causes of offending behaviour and prepare prisoners for a successful return to the community. The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and direction of Fulham Correctional Centre. This includes ensuring the safe and secure operation of the prison, providing effective rehabilitation and reintegration programs, and delivering contracted outcomes in line with GEO and Corrections Victoria''s requirements. The role leads a diverse senior leadership team across operations, human resources, health, finance, reintegration, and compliance functions, while building strong relationships with stakeholders including government, justice agencies, community partners, and employees. A central focus is maintaining a safe and positive culture for staff and prisoners while achieving high standards of performance and compliance. The successful candidate will bring extensive senior leadership experience within corrections or a similarly high-risk, highly regulated environment, supported by strong knowledge of correctional policy, legislation, contract management, and compliance requirements. They will demonstrate a proven record of managing large and complex operations, including financial oversight, human resources, and strategic planning. Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills are essential, along with the ability to build trust and collaboration across government, community, and workforce groups. The role requires a values-driven leadership style that prioritises safety, integrity, rehabilitation, and continuous improvement. Relevant tertiary qualifications in criminal justice, law, management, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience, will be highly regarded. This is a unique opportunity to lead one of Victoria''s largest regional correctional centres, shaping its culture, operations and impact on community safety.
