TemporaryFull-time - Sept 2025 to Nov 2026 (Maternity leave cover)Band 7 -$100,629 - $112,594 yearly, plus 12% statutory superannuationAbout theRole:This is anexciting opportunity for a driven and passionate individual to join our People& Capability team as the Coordinator Organisational Development. In thisrole, you will have the chance to lead initiatives that shape Council''s leadershipdevelopment, talent management, and performance and engagement, embedding acontinuous learning mindset across Council to ensure high performance,collaboration, and delivery of strategic objectives.Key responsibilities:Lead thedesign and execution of organisational development programs across the employeelifecycle.Buildleadership capability by creating practical tools, learning content, andcoaching support.Use datato evaluate program effectiveness, drive continuous improvement, and informdecision-making.Leveragetechnology platforms (e.g., survey tools, digital learning) to enhance theemployee experience.Overseethe coordination of all corporate face-to-face and online training, includinglogistical arrangements and participant processes.Overseethe student work experience and traineeship programs.Manage theL&D diary and ensure information regarding forthcoming training is kept upto date.Establishsystems to record and produce regular reports on learning and developmentmetrics.Contributeto key strategic projects, including cultural transformation, talentdevelopment and organisational design.What YouWill BringYou are a strategic and passionate organisationaldevelopment or HR professional with a strong track record in buildinginclusive, high-performing cultures, known for your technical expertise,insights and delivery, bringing a hands-on practical approach to your work andto stakeholder engagement and collaboration.Key Selection Criteria:To besuccessful in this role you will have:Proven experiencein an OD, HRBP or strategic P&C role with a strong development mindset.A relevantdiploma or degree in HR, Organisational Psychology, Business, or relateddiscipline.Strongknowledge of organisational psychology, adult learning principles, and changeframeworks.Provenexperience in project coordination or management, preferably in a learning anddevelopment environment and utilising capability frameworks.Data-drivenapproach to measuring impact and continuous improvement.Highlydeveloped research and problem-solving skills, including the capacity toanalyse issues and develop practical solutions for process improvement.Skills andexperience in instructional design and creating online learning content.Strongfacilitation skills and the ability to influence and build trust across seniorstakeholders.Experiencesupervising and supporting the work of others, including the ability to provideday-to-day guidance, set priorities and monitor workflow within a small teamenvironment.Certificationsin learning, coaching, or change management (e.g., PROSCI, DISC, HBDI) areadvantageous.CertificateIV Workplace Training and Assessment (desirable)Why apply?Inclusiveand supportive workplace cultureHybridworking environment with flexibility and purpose.Opportunityfor growth and to make your own mark on the role.EmployeeAssistance Program and fun Social Club!Open toexploring part-time employment for suitably qualified applicants (pleasereference this in your cover letter if interested)WhyWellington?Here at Wellington ShireCouncil, we have a strong commitment to create a workplace culture that iscollaborative, provides work-life flexibility and encourages opportunities forgrowth and development.
