This role involves providing care and supervision to young children, supporting their learning and development, maintaining a safe and engaging environment, and leading day-to-day room operations in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards. Key Duties Provide high-quality care, supervision and education for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years Plan, implement and evaluate age-appropriate learning programs in line with the EYLF Support childrens emotional, physical, social and educational development Maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment Supervise daily routines, including meals, rest, hygiene and indoor/outdoor activities Observe childrens progress and contribute to learning documentation and developmental records Communicate effectively with families regarding childrens care and development Ensure compliance with centre policies, child safety requirements, NQS and relevant regulatory standards Support, guide and mentor other educators within the room as required Contribute to team planning, programming and continuous improvement initiatives Skills and Experience Required Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, being at least an ACECQA-approved Diploma or other qualification suitable for the role Demonstrated experience working in an early childhood education and care setting Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and regulatory requirements Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support junior educators Organised, reliable and committed to providing high-quality care and education Mandatory Requirements Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification Current Working with Children Check National Police Check Any other checks, clearances or certifications required by law for the role About Us The Hive Early Learning Centre Geelong is part of a family-owned early learning group operating in Victoria.
