Melba won the 2023 National Disability Award for Excellence in Service Quality.About the Role:Service Quality is paramount at Melba Support Services and the Outcomes Manager role plays a critical role in high quality service delivery. The key objectives of this role are:To manage the overall operations of the regions Individualised Support Arrangements (ISA) within the Rural and Remote East (Gippsland)To oversee the ongoing development and implementation of these disability services in the Rural and Remote East (Gippsland)To lead the ISA management team and direct support staff in the provision of high-quality individualised disability supportsResponsibilities:Uphold and protect the human rights of individuals supported, ensuring they feel safe, well, and free from abuse and neglectDrive the growth of the service into a financially viable department, while managing the allocated budget in collaboration with the Head of Community ServicesLead by example, demonstrating positive work practices and adhering to the most suitable support framework to manage a diverse team, delivering high-quality, person-centred supports that empower individuals to achieve their chosen outcomesContinuously enhance the skills of the ISA team to meet the evolving requirements of service provision, ensuring adaptability and proficiencyGuide staff teams in supporting individuals to engage in their daily routines with the appropriate level of assistance, tailored to each person''s needsFoster the development and maintenance of family relationships, friendships, and intimate relationships among individuals supported, promoting social inclusionFacilitate a wide range of social, educational, vocational, and recreational opportunities for individuals, enriching their lives with meaningful and valuable experiencesSupport individuals with disabilities to be recognised and valued as contributing members of their community, promoting acceptance and inclusionQualifications and Experience:Comprehensive understanding of physical and intellectual disabilities, as well as other complex presentations, including mental health supportIn-depth knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and person-centred practices, ensuring the delivery of tailored, high-quality supportProven experience in leading teams to achieve high performance standards, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environmentDedication to service excellence, human rights, and a zero-tolerance approach to abuse and neglectExceptional interpersonal and collaborative management skills, promoting effective teamwork and positive workplace cultureAdvanced written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and effectivelyExcellent organisational and time management abilities, with a proven track record of prioritising tasks, meeting deadlines, and working independentlyProficient computer skills, including the use of the Microsoft Office 365 Suite, to support administrative and operational tasksRequirements:A current NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children Check (we can support you through the process of obtaining one or both checks if you don''t already have them).Access to a roadworthy and insured vehicle (minimum third-party property damage) for work-related travelCurrent First Aid Certificate with CPREvidence of COVID-19 vaccination status, including boosterWhy Join Us?We are a human-rights, values-based, not-for-profit community organisation committed to providing services that support individuals with disability to lead everyday lives of their choice, if this resonates with you, come join us!Join a supportive and collaborative culture where your contributions make a real impactEnjoy onsite parking and other benefitsAccess to Not-for-Profit Salary Packaging.Ready to Make a Difference?Click "Apply" now and submit your resume.
