Our diversity helps us provide the best support possible to carers, families, children and young people and all of our external stakeholders.A little about the roleAs aFamily Services Practitioner, you will provide specialised support, care and education to enhance parents/caregivers parenting capacity. You will be required to work in partnership to increase parents/caregivers'' knowledge, skills and experience and promote their childrens ongoing health, development and safety.Additional responsibilities include:Promoting the wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people by supporting and building capacity of parents responsible for their careImplementing program response by working with Families in our Key to Care FrameworkFacilitate groups and provide early parenting education and support to enhance parenting competenciesImproving parenting knowledge and skills to meet the health, development, safety and wellbeing of their childrenProviding specialist responses to those children and families at riskWorking in an assertive outreach model, in partnership with parents and members of the KEY CARE TEAM to help identify risk and safety concerns within a familyWorking collaboratively to address any concerns; with the goal of improving the safety and well-being of children to enable them to remain with their families.The base salary for this position is $84,006.00 - $90,382.50 per annum + super + vehicle & fuel card + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum.This position is a full-time, ongoing opportunity, co-located at Morwell Park and Morwell Central Primary Schools.About youTo be successful in this role, youll come with:Relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Development, Maternal Child Health or equivalent qualification in Human Services.Experience and confidence with facilitating group sessions and building relationship with parents who may be wary of services.Experience working with families in the health and welfare sector, and early years parenting.Experience working in community settings such as family services or early years education.An understanding of childhood development and trauma.Achild centred approach, and strengths based in their practice with parents and caregivers to achieve positive, lasting outcomes for children and their families.Tenacity, diligence and resilience - with the ability to adopt a creative approach to problem solving in a fast-paced environment.My Key AssetsThe health and wellbeing of our people is at the core of our employee and client experience.
