Were looking for a talented and self-motivated Junior Industrial Designer to join our Melbourne studio. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing team of creatives whilst delivering high profile projects throughout Australia and internationally.The role of Junior Industrial Designer includes assisting the team in the development of Industrial strategies and documentation and providing design support to the wider team.They must be self-motivated and enthusiastic to learn and take on new challenges with a positive attitude.ResponsibilitiesAssist the team in the delivery of multiple, often complex, design projects from strategy/concept through to implementation, whilst adhering to design briefs and programmes.Support the creation of sketches, renderings, and 3D models using CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Rhino, Revit, Grasshopper).Undertake project and user research, and analysing of data to provide high-level strategic advice.Assist the team in the production and delivery of designs, drawings, schedules, guidelines and specifications at concept, tender and construction stages.Assist in the creation of Industrial design strategy and design documentation and presentations.Manage own time efficiently and work to project and internal deadlines.Support other design disciplines in the form of research, document creation and graphic illustration.Collaborate with other design disciplines to co-ordinate and deliver successful designs.Contribute to the creation of models and mockups for presentation and testing.Attend industry events and networking opportunities.Take an active part in attending and instigating company events and activities.Present design concepts and prototypes to internal teams and, occasionally, to clients.Skills and ExperienceBachelors degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling software (e.g. SolidWorks, Rhino, Revit, Grasshopper).Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud suite).Strong sketching, rendering, and visualisation skills.Basic understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and user-centered design principles.Fluent in English with great written, spoken and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to work across multiple projects whilst managing own workload, prioritising tasks and internal deadlines.Attention to detail and the ability to take constructive feedback.ReportingReports directly to the Melbourne Associate Industrial Designer, and relevant Project Leads.To ApplyPlease share your CV and a link to your portfolio/website to [email protected] with the subject heading leManoosh-Junior Industrial Designer, Melbourne. #J-18808-Ljbffr
