Immediate start About the firm: Patrick Robinson & Co, Solicitors is a long-established Personal Injury Law firm based in the heart of Melbourne CBD, close to the Courts and Flagstaff and Melbourne Central stations. About the role: We are looking for an experienced legal bookkeeper/accounts person who will be responsible for managing our general and trusts account as well as payroll. Duties will include: All trust accounting requirements according to relevant legislation - that includes trust receipting, payments, invoicing, reconciliations, journals, transfers, LSB trust compliance and statutory obligations, end of year reporting (preparation and lodging statement of trust monies and liaising with external and VLSBC auditors) All general office bookkeeping (office receipts, payments, reconciliations, credit card, client file disbursement payments and recovery, invoicing, legal bills, etc All general management of payments relating to Legal practice licensing and insurances including WorkCover Payroll and Superannuation Preparing necessary information for Tax compliance such as BAS/IAS etc for our tax accountant Other relevant duties as required. Our payroll and legal accounting software include Smokeball and XERO. (PC Law for historic info only) About You: Sound experience with legal trust/general office bookkeeping and payroll is essential Sound working knowledge of legal practice software systems We are looking for someone who is trustworthy, organized and detail orientated with a capacity to meet necessary deadlines Salary: $75,000 to $90,000 per annum depending on experience plus Super.
