G med oss och hjlp till att driva det som driver vrlden.Denna position rapporterar till:Division General Counsel ELSESenior Legal Counsel - APACCandidate must be based in the APAC region: Singapore, Australia, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan, Korea | Hybrid #LI-hybridAs Senior Legal Counsel for ABB Electrification in APAC, you''ll be a strategic advisor to the Division General Counsel, navigating complex M&A transactions, structured finance arrangements, and cross-border legal challenges. You''ll champion integrity standards, build strong stakeholder relationships, and design innovative legal solutions that drive business growth while managing enterprise risk. This individual contributor role demands a seasoned legal professional who balances commercial acumen with cultural sensitivity across diverse APAC markets.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic legal counsel on mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and restructuring activities across APAC, including deal structuring and due diligence.Advise on complex financing arrangements (structured finance, trade finance, as-a-service models) and negotiate high-stakes commercial agreements across multiple jurisdictions.Develop scalable contract management processes to handle high-volume contractual workflows efficiently while mitigating legal risks.Champion ABB''s Code of Conduct and integrity standards, collaborating with Compliance and Regulatory teams to proactively identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks.Act as trusted partner to business leaders, managing disputes with regulatory authorities and overseeing external counsel engagement, including budget oversight and quality assurance.QualificationsJD, LLB, or equivalent legal degree with active bar admission in APACMinimum 10 years of experience supporting complex industrial and technological businesses, with international exposureDeep expertise in M&A, corporate finance, structured finance, and complex cross-border transactions with proven financial modeling capabilitiesStrong understanding of global anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws (UK Bribery Act, US FCPA) and ability to identify integrity risks and cultural compliance trendsExtensive contract negotiation and management experience across multiple jurisdictionsProven ability to respond to regulatory inquiries and manage interactions with government authoritiesCultural sensitivity and ability to navigate diverse APAC business environments while maintaining global compliance standardsExperience with as-a-service business models and emerging technologies (desirable)Willingness to travel within the APAC regionReady to Make an Impact?Join us and help guide the future of sustainable energy.
