We are seeking applications from motivated and experienced Occupational Therapists for the Deputy Manager role in the North West of Tasmania. The position reports to and works closely with the Manager - Occupational Therapy Services to provide leadership and coordination of the overall Occupational Therapy service for the North West. Team Occupational Therapy services North West provide in-patient services including medical, surgical, orthopaedics and paediatrics and community clients from a broad rural area. The team consists of the Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior and Junior Occupational Therapists and other ancillary staff. Role Assist the Manager in leadership, coordination and administration of the overall Occupational Therapy service for the North West. Provide advanced clinical services in accordance with organisational policies and the professional code of conduct, for clients requiring specialty services compatible with the scope of the Mersey Community Hospital Occupational Therapy Service. In consultation with the Manager, coordinate Occupational Therapy Services specific to the Mersey Community Hospital site in accordance with areawide governance arrangements. Details of Appointment Fixed term, parttime day worker position, working 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing from 9February2026 until 5February2027. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary and Packaging Salary: $123,717 to $134,336 per annum (prorata). Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Union Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022. Access to salaries beyond $130,900 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme. Professional Development Allowance of up to $1,000 per annum. Living expenses up to $9,010 and meal entertainment up to $2,650 per FBT year. Eligibility Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Current Working with Children Registration. Desirable criteria: Current Drivers Licence. Post graduate qualifications relevant to the delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
