The Role: Reporting to the General Counsel, this is an exciting opportunity to partner closely with the business, providing pragmatic legal advice across a breadth of legal issues including commercial contracts and financial services regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Draft, negotiate and review a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer and supplier contracts. Work with the bid and new business teams on tenders and negotiation of contracts. Support contract lifecycle management and advise on disputes when they arise. Assist the General Counsel on governance, compliance and risk-related responsibilities, including policy development and regulatory obligations under the Corporations Act, FSR and privacy regimes. Ensure legal/security documentation is properly executed and compliant. Experience and Skills Required: 36 years PQE with relevant legal experience in private practice and/or in-house. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts. Experience with FSR and privacy legislation beneficial. Ability to provide independent, commercially relevant legal advice. Experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple jurisdictions. About You: Highly motivated self-starter with a strong sense of ownership.
