In-House Team The in-house legal team provides vital legal advice to the business, including across the whole property development process. The Team is led by a highly respected General Counsel and consists of a number of other lawyers and support staff. Position Description As a corporate counsel in this close-knit team, your role will be broad, and involve working closely on projects from development all the way through to delivery. It will also include being involved in post-delivery issues including defects litigation. You will work on commercial, retail and residential transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, due diligence, leasing, property development and project management. Your role will include: Assisting with acquisitions, joint ventures and disposals. Reviewing and negotiating construction, consultancy, supply and property management agreements. Reviewing commercial and retail leases. Liaising with internal and external advisers with respect to taxation, FIRB, insurance and other regulatory and corporate matters. Assisting with post-completion issues and disputes. Advising on legal issues within marketing. Working closely with panel firms to provide legal advice to the business. Requirements To succeed in this role, you will have at least 8 years experience inproperty development projects, gained in a leading law firm, with ideally some in-house experience. In addition, you will have: strong communication and organisational skills ability to deal with a range of stakeholders a positive and ''can do'' attitude.
