Overview Associate - Insurance Liability (2-4PQE) Due to recent growth in our Casualty practice, we are recruiting an Associate at the 24-year post-qualification level of experience. This highly successful dynamic team is led nationally by Clyde & Co Partner Luke OKane, and will provide you with exposure to first rate matters and clients. Our insurance practice in Australia is growing rapidly. Across the country, we now have over 20+ insurance partners who spread their expertise across a range of insurance lines and industries. We are consistently called upon to help key international and local insurers and corporates with their most complex insurance claims and issues. About You We are seeking lawyers with experience working in private practice. Experience in litigation, public/product liability and/or general insurance/coverage claims is essential. We are ideally looking for candidates with experience in civil claims related to abuse, including historic or institutional abuse-related matters. To apply you will need to demonstrate that you have a record of strong, consistent performance throughout your career within these areas of the law. Requirements You will be an Associate with between 2-4 years of relevant experience. The following are the core requirements for these roles: a solid general insurance background gained from a top tier private practice environment from either Australia or overseas. precise, clear drafting skills. strong academics, self-driven, a "can do" approach, with excellent verbal and written communications skills. strong time management skills and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in order to meet deliverables to a very high standard. demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently. commercial awareness and confidence in building rapport with clients to gain a better understanding of their business'' needs and with the assistance of the partners, actively developing client relationships. for more senior lawyers, the ability to lead, delegate and for all candidates, to foster a positive team environment.
