Job Description

Key Responsibilities Perform outdoor thermal comfort assessments using a variety of modeling tools and scientific methods. Analyze microclimatic variables such as solar radiation, humidity, wind conditions, and ambient temperature. Develop and implement design strategies to enhance thermal comfort in open-air environments. Work collaboratively with urban designers, landscape architects , and master planners to incorporate climate-responsive solutions into design proposals. Utilize simulation platforms to forecast thermal performance and comfort levels. Create and deliver comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing technical analysis, findings, and proposed solutions. Stay current with emerging research, tools, and global best practices in thermal comfort design. Conduct on-site evaluations to assess existing conditions and track the implementation of proposed strategies. Offer expert recommendations on materials, greenery, shading systems , and other interventions that influence outdoor comfort. Participate in multidisciplinary project teams , providing sustainability and environmental compliance expertise from concept to completion. Engage in client-facing activities , including presenting at workshops and design meetings. Contribute innovative ideas that align with each projects vision, challenging assumptions and offering creative alternatives . Prepare technical documentation and studies for sustainability certifications and regulatory compliance. Mentor and review the work of junior team members , ensuring quality and alignment with project objectives. Contribute to bidding and proposal development to support new business opportunities. Work independently and take initiative while having access to team support as needed. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelors degree or higher in architecture, engineering, urban planning , or related natural sciences. Minimum of 7 years professional experience in international consultancy settings involving engineering, design, project management, or sustainability. Solid understanding of outdoor microclimates and thermal comfort principles . Familiarity with key thermal comfort indicators such as PMV, PET, and UTCI . Proven ability to interpret and evaluate climatic datasets for design insights. Proficiency in thermal modeling software (e.g., Autodesk Forma , CFD tools); knowledge of GIS and data analysis tools is a plus. Awareness of current sustainability trends and the ability to apply them in a project-specific context. Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams , including clients, contractors, and design professionals, to deliver thermal comfort objectives. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple large-scale projects in parallel. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Preferred Qualifications Masters or Ph.D. in a related field such as architecture, engineering, or planning . Professional certifications such as Estidama PCRS PQP, LEED AP, or BREEAM AP (additional credentials are advantageous). Documented experience supporting third-party sustainability certification applications , including LEED, WELL, Estidama, Mostadam, or Envision . #J-18808-Ljbffr
