Designer/Product Developer - Own Brand @ leading fashion marketplace

Overview Designer/Product Developer - Own Brand role with a leading fashion marketplace based in Sydney, NSW, AU. This role drives the conception and development of all product in the allocated category, focusing on innovation and creativity. The Commercial team is data-, product- and trend-oriented, delivering a customer-centric platform and shaping ranges to engage the customer. Responsibilities Understand and drive company-wide strategies and OKRs. Maintain a close link with manufacturers to ensure seamless handover of developments; ensure all sample technical packs are accurate, completed and submitted within set timeframes. Communicate regularly with the Design Team to address design issues or developments as needed. Select, develop, and source fabrics, colours, trims, etc., in line with company standards. Attend fit sessions and use technical ability to ensure best fit; approve final samples with GT when required. Approve all details of the final product in line with the original design brief. Understand the suppliers manufacturing structure to identify cost and manufacturing opportunities for each design. Participate in range planning to ensure balance in styling, colour and fabrications. Ensure range boards are up to date and planned accordingly. What it takes Minimum of 4 years of experience in product development or design. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong trend forecasting skills with a commercial eye for fashion. Ability to time-manage in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively. Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop would be advantageous. Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
