Position Summary The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards. The role supports the kitchen team in delivering consistent, high-quality food in a fast-paced environment. This is a genuine full-time position essential to daily kitchen operations. Key Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items including manakish, wraps, pizzas, shawarma fillings, falafel, and baked goods Assist in food preparation such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients Follow recipes and instructions provided by the Head Chef Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of dishes Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations Monitor stock levels and assist with basic inventory control Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards Work efficiently during busy service periods Skills & Experience Required Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification Minimum 12 years of relevant experience as a Cook Experience in Middle Eastern or Lebanese-style cuisine (preferred but not essential) Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices Strong teamwork and time management skills Employment Conditions Full-time, permanent position Salary $80,000 Plus Super Weekend and public holiday availability required Role based on-site in Dandenong Why Join Us Work with a well-known and busy local restaurant with strong customer demand Opportunity to work with authentic Middle Eastern cuisine and recipes Supportive team environment in a growing business Exposure to both restaurant service and large-scale catering operations How to Apply Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role.
