We''re seeking a dedicated Hazmat Field TechnicianThis full-time Hazmat Field Technician position is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Environmental Health Solutions'' offices in Newtown and Richmond, VIC. As a Hazmat Technician, you will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and safely handling hazardous materials, ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the local community.What you''ll be doingConduct asbestos and hazardous materials surveys, risk assessments, and air monitoring.Collect and analyse samples in accordance with industry and regulatory standards.Prepare detailed technical reports and provide expert advice to clients.Ensure projects comply with OHS regulations, EPA Victoria, and WorkSafe requirements.Collaborate with the team to deliver quality outcomes across residential, commercial, and industrial sitesWhat we''re looking forFormal qualifications in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience as a Hazmat Technician or in a similar roleThorough understanding of hazardous materials classifications, handling, and disposal proceduresProficient in the use of monitoring equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE)Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with employees and stakeholdersAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentWhat we offerAt Environmental Health Solutions, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
