Hospital Scientist (Scientific Officer) Cell & Molecular Therapies Join to apply for the Hospital Scientist (Scientific Officer) Cell & Molecular Therapies role at NSW Health Employment Type: Permanent Full Time, 38 hours per week Position Classification: Scientific Officer Remuneration: $73,440 $104,751 per annum + Superannuation Location: Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Requisition ID: REQ607886 About The Role The Hospital Scientist will participate in the development, manufacturing and testing of novel human cellular therapeutics, including genemodified cells, according to cGMP. The role also includes the operation and maintenance of ISO14644 and PC2certified cleanroom laboratories and equipment. Responsibilities Develop and manufacture novel cellular therapeutics in a cGMP compliant environment. Operate and maintain ISO14644 and PC2 certified cleanroom laboratories and equipment. Culture and test primary human cells and process cellular products. Support regulatory compliance and documentation for cell and gene therapy products. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver therapeutic solutions. Qualifications Relevant science degree (cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, microbiology, or biochemistry) from an approved university. Experience in a medical scientific laboratory, including culture and testing of primary human cells. Experience in processing and cryopreservation of cellular products with knowledge of regulatory requirements. Strong written and oral communication skills, able to present data in team meetings and partnership interactions.
