We are seeking a dedicated Child Care Assistant to join us on a permanent, full-time basis at our Glendenning Preschool service. This position assists staff to provide an appropriate and stimulating program of care and education, and to ensure the safety and well-being of the children.ResponsibilitiesAssist with delivering a program of care and education that is appropriate and stimulating for children; support safety and well-being; contribute to a positive and joyful environment for children''s growth and development.Qualifications and ExperienceExperience in the Early Childhood fieldCertificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent as recognised by ACECQACompletion of Child Protection Course - Identify and respond to children and young people at risk of harmCurrent certificate HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)Current certificate HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting, or an equivalent Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training certificate that meets requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law 2010 and National Regulation 2018Working with Children Check clearance valid for paid workDesirableCurrent class C driver''s licenceKnowledge of applicable legislation/regulationsRemuneration and BenefitsThe salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council''s Enterprise Agreement.Entry level for this position starts at $1,197.30 per week38-hour working weekRostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnightEmployee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 12% employer contribution to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubsThis position has been identified as child-related work under the Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013.
