Play an instrumental role in ensuring all equipment is available in good working order to meet track maintenance schedules. Key accountabilities of the role include: Service and maintain mechanical equipment & vehicles including diesel and petrol trucks,carsandtractors Developing and implementing service and maintenance programmes including the recording andpurchasingof stock and prioritising work according to track maintenance schedules. Undertake general mechanical maintenance for example, out-front-mowers, front-end loaders,tractorsand some tractor mounted implements. Contact and oversee external contractorsassistingwith ATC mechanical maintenance General cleaning and housekeeping of the workshop Calibration and maintenance of fuels Determineand undertakepurchasingof fuels, oils,greaseand other consumables. Any other ad-hoc duties asrequired? THE RIGHT FIT To be successful in the role, the right fit willpossess: Trade qualifications as a Motor/plantMechanic. Experience working with diesel and petrol motors including trucks and tractors and small machinery. Capable of working independently.
