Shifts are predominately Monday to Friday, but some weekend shifts may be required. On-call responsibilities may also a feature of this role.Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton''s perioperative services comprise five operating complexes, seven recovery bays and a central sterilising Unit.The Theatre Complex provides pre- and post-operative recovery room care and specialised endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures. The surgical case mix includes orthopaedic, obstetric, gynecologic, ENT, oral, urology, paediatric, general, vascular, spinal and ophthalmic surgery.Salary range: $40.27 - $51.74 per hour (RN1) plus superannuation (plus casual loading if applicable) plus access to generous salary packagingWhat you''ll be doingAs a Registered Nurse in the Theatre Department, you will providepatient-centred nursing care in collaboration with other health professionals and significant others to ensure safe, efficient, and effective patient management within the Operating Theatres.Key responsibilities and duties include:Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of careDemonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding careImplementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provisionWorking collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every timeMaintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growthAbout youYou will enjoy working in a busy and rewarding environment where you can become part of a team of professionals who take pride in providing the highest levels of patient care.
