Job DescriptionSshh! Can you keep a SECRET?Youll be working at secret and later top-secret levels of security clearance in this Tech Support role, joining the Melbourne, VIC helpdesk of a globally renowned private business.Please Note This business is associated with the Australian Government, and as such this role is ONLY open to Australian Citizens. Baseline or NV1 clearance preferred. Car and valid drivers license required. Expenses reimbursed. Role will require travel from site to site including: Port Melbourne, Tullamarine and the CBD.Starting as a contract role, there is room for you to become a permanent member of the organisation down the line. Plus, having security clearance places you in the unique position of being able to access other similar roles in future.The RoleIn this position you will be troubleshooting moderately complex delivery systems or network issues and escalate problem as appropriate and assist with basic computing delivery systems configuration management.You will be responsible for applying compliance of IT operations against industry standards, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of IT operations, and escalating and coordinating the resolution of basic hardware or networking issues to vendors and suppliers.You must also ensure that all documentation is current and aligns with Policies and Procedures, as well as participating in and responding to tasks as notified through the IT Service Desk.About YouExperienced in the support of networked PCs running Windows-based software applicationsAt least 2 years experience in PC Support, with Windows 10.Working knowledge and experience with PC hardware and peripheral equipmentExcellent communication skillsAbility to obtain a security clearance to SECRET as requiredAbility to work with limited supervisionCertificate Level qualifications in IT and typically 4 or more years'' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.The ability to undertake ad-hoc tasks out of hours and available to be rostered for on-call duties if requiredDrivers license and ability and willingness to travel to remote sites if requiredIf this sounds like you then please get in touch with Steven on email steven@theonset.com.au or apply online. #J-18808-Ljbffr
