Position Overview: As the Group Sales & Events Manager youll oversee various teams in the acquisition and delivery of flawless memorable events for our clients. Youll set and deliver corporate strategy for the generation of revenue, develop the skillsets of your team and work towards establishing Bankstown Sports Club as a destination for personal, commercial, and corporate events in Sydney. Ultimately, the success of this role is measured not just in financial performance, but in the enduring relationships built with clients and the memorable experiences created for guests. Here''s what you''ll do: Key Accountabilities: Strategic Acumen: In partnership with the Strategy, Commercial and Marketing teams, develop and implement innovative marketing and promotional strategies Conduct market research to identify trends and competitive insights, and develop effective sales strategies targeting identified opportunities Development of the Group Sales and Events Strategic Plan in consultation with internal stakeholders Create and oversee the execution of the sales strategy in alignment with organisational objectives and targets Leadership and Team Management: Lead, motivate and manage the Sales and events function which consists of direct reporting managers and specialists Lead change as well as drive continuous improvement in operational frameworks, processes and efficiencies Facilitate strong relationships with internal stakeholders for cross-departmental collaboration across the group. Customer Experience: Set frameworks and structures for quality assurance and ensure product consistency and standards Uphold and enhance the venue''s reputation for outstanding customer service Events Management: Overseas the planning and execution of events across the BSC portfolio of venues Measure and monitor the use of assets including venue space and ensure assets remain well-maintained, well-utilised, and provide adequate return on investment Conduct site visits, events and tours to showcase event spaces to potential clients Conceptualise and build out in-house events to drive business and revenue growth Attend key client events and be on the ground to run key events Commercial Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for the sales and events departments Oversee the sales pipeline and ensure the steady development and maintenance of potential leads Monitor and analyse sales performance preparing regular reports and forecasts for management Actively pursue new commercial opportunities and generate leads for sales team Why Join Bankstown Sports Club?
