One of Sydneys LGA''s are seeking an experienced Project Manager withconstructionexperience to manage an exciting project. The role is a contract for 12 months.The primary purpose of this role is to manage the delivery of assigned Capital works projects. They should have aninterest inthe experience of being in the LGA.Key Responsibilities Project manage the initiation, design and implementation of a wide range of projects, including projects in forward planning Review draft design documentation to assess constructability and/or possible omissions Develop technical requirements for request for quotations or tenders (RFQ or RFT) on reviewing of specifications and drawings for inclusion with documentation Develop an evaluation plan and act as chairperson for the evaluation of assigned project/s for procurement Perform the duties of Chairperson of evaluation panels for tenders on assigned projects Act as Superintendent''s representative on assigned projects Provide the construction delivery of assigned projects via external contractors and service providersSkills and Experience Tertiary qualifications in building, constructionor other relevant discipline Current Class C driver''s licence Minimum 8 years post-graduate experience in Project Management High level verbal, oral and written communication skills Extensive experience managing project budgets, project plans, cost plans and work breakdown structures Project Management experience ranging from engaging consultants, writing project briefs, project conception through to site investigation, brief preparation, design development and documentation, supervision of consultants and contractors, and contract acquittal Preparation and administration of tender/contract documentation The ability to coordinate a number of complex projects concurrently Experiencein all stages of design with a working knowledge oftrends and opportunities for landscape architecture, urban design, sustainable design and knowledge of construction techniques Understanding of construction issues, terminology, materials and methods Effective negotiation skills Experience in working within multi-disciplinary teams including but not limited to Architects, Landscape Architects and Designers, Artists, Engineers, Contract Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Contractors #J-18808-Ljbffr
