The role: Nine Mile is looking for a Trading Desk Developer to join our rapidly growing technology team. Trading Desk Developers work with the trading team on a tight release cycle. Unlike Platform Engineers who typically engage in longer running projects, Trading Desk Developers are able to see the impacts of their contributions from one day to the next, frequently delivering improvements to the operational robustness and profitability of the trading platform. Trading Desk Developers have the opportunity to be exposed to a broad array of technologies and trading domains. Everything from trading interfaces and operations tools through to algo enhancements and performance tuning. You could be the next Nine Mile Trading Desk Developer if You: Enjoy software development but prefer not to get bogged down in long projects Are energized by working directly with traders to develop solutions with almost immediate impact Are excited to develop your talents across a broad array of technical disciplines Enjoy working in a constantly evolving environment with new challenges and opportunities to learn every day Your Technical Skills Should Include: Development in either Java, C++ or C# A scripting language, preferably Python Experience working in Linux environments Understanding of network protocols Excellent written and verbal communication skills A genuine interest in financial markets Strong academic record in a computer science degree Minimum 3 years experience in a related field Our Culture: At Nine Mile, we operate in a highly competitive and dynamic environment.
