Student and Academic Services Officer (Generalist) Geelong, Australia About the roleThe Student and Academic Services Officer is responsible for providing high quality administrative and services support within the College/Campus across a broad range of academic and student services and administrative functions.The position acknowledges the interdependence of student and academic related matters, the importance of front counter student facing activities and back office administration. The designation of particular activities will be subject to individual College/Campus requirements and may change over time.The person we seek will support students and academics via the following means, but not limited to:Provide support to student reception with counter, phone and email enquiriesCheck the integrity of information and resources provided to staff and students via the Student Portal and Student Hub from trimester to trimesterProcess student requests for replacement documentationProvide administrative support to various student and academic committeesAssist with College activities and eventsProvide advice to students relating to College policies and procedures, program progression, transition to University and other student administrative related issuesThe person we seek will ideally have the following:Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deal with competing prioritiesExcellent attention to detail, including proofreading and editing skillsDemonstrated ability to relate well to students and professionalsAbility to independently resolve routine problems and issuesSense of responsibility and commitment to educationIT literacy (e.g. student information system or database, or customer relationship management systems) and experienceWhat we can offer you:A fun and supportive team environmentCareer progression and development pathwaysCollegial and collaborative environment with the aim of academic excellenceHealth & Wellbeing packages which includes free counselling for employees family, discounted gym memberships, movie tickets, discounts on travel, accommodation and insurance.About UsNavitas is a leading global education provider that has helped generations of learners transform their lives through education.
