Job Description

This role will see you plan and manage tailings design studies and support analyses and provide technical support to junior engineers as part of multi-disciplinary project teams on local, regional and international consulting assignmentsMiningOur global team of over 5,200 dedicated mining professionals are supporting the industry to decarbonise mining operations in the accelerating green transition. Working collaboratively across borders and disciplines, youll join a leading team working on interesting and complex projects. We are experts in our field, and we are passionate about mining.What youll do:Prepare technical deliverables with support from senior engineersPlan and manage geotechnical site investigations and construction projects.This could include activities such as:Construction quality assurance (CQA) on TSF-related construction projectsField investigations (CPTu, test pitting, borehole drilling etc.) under the guidance of senior engineersIntermittent travel (both regionally and nationally) where required to undertake ad hoc project related site visits or inspectionsIdentify safety hazards (both office-based and site-based) and report OH&S incidentsWork with and provide support to members of the team as requiredDeveloping and maintaining effective client relationships and generate consulting businessProvide input to project management, budgeting and quality control for tailings, mine waste, heap leach and similar assignmentsMentor and guide junior engineers within team.About YouBachelor Qualification in Civil/Mining Engineering or similarBasic analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEnthusiasm for fieldwork with practical experienceReliable and committed to producing high-quality workAbility to work efficiently autonomously and in a team environmentGood attention to detail and time management ability, andProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.In addition, you will bring the following skills and attributes:Natural connectorProblem solver with a powerful team spiritOpenCuriousPassionateAdaptableSomeone ready to do the kind of work the world needsAbout WSPWSP is one of the world''s leading engineering professional services firms, bringing together approximately 6,000 talented people across 15 offices in Australia.
