OverviewThe Department of Communities brings together the services and functions of disability services, child protection and family support, community initiatives and regional services reform.The Opportunity: As an Investigations Officer within the Education and Care Regulatory Unit you will be responsible for:ResponsibilitiesConducting investigations following notifications of Incidents or complaints and preparing and analysing evidence to determine any enforcement action(s).Making recommendations and completing required actions including preparing reports and briefs to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to recommend disciplinary or compliance action for breaches relating to the enforcement regulations and legislation.Collating case information in a format that is admissible for disciplinary proceedings and present evidence and information at proceedings in accordance with relevant legislation.Providing information and education to relevant Stakeholders on compliance and other matters relevant to the Early Childhood Education and Care sector.In this varied and engaging role your day to day may involve working with investigations, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of information held in relevant databases and information systems, reporting, providing education and information to Departmental staff, clients and Stakeholders, on compliance and other matters relevant to the Education and Care sector.RequirementsEssential Work Related Requirements (Selection Criteria) as stated on the Job Description Form (JDF).BenefitsWorking at the Department of Communities we offer a safe and healthy working environment, a range of benefits, including attractive salaries, flexible working arrangements, and learning and development opportunities in exchange for your skills, passion and commitment.
